Preamble
We, the Filipino Americans residing
in the Oregon Coast, in
order to establish an association that is
non-political, non-religious and non-profit, which shall promote and
keep alive our cultures, infused with the ideals of liberty and democracy do hereby adopt this constitution and
by-laws.
ARTICLE
I: Name
The name of this organization is
the
Oregon Coast Filipino American Association
ARTICLE
II: Offices
The association shall maintain in the
state of Oregon a registered address, which shall be that of the address
of the duly elected Secretary of the Association. The Officers may at
anytime, change the location of the registered address and the person
designated as the registered agent. The association may also have other
designated address at such places as the Officers may designate by
resolution.
ARTICLE
II: Purpose
The association shall be organized
and operated exclusively for cultural education and charitable purposes.
Subject to the limitations stated in the Articles of Incorporation, the
purposes of this organization shall be to engage in lawful activities,
none of which are for profit, for which the corporation may be
organized. (Under Chapter 65 of the Oregon Revised Statues and Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954), or (the corresponding
future statutes)
This association’s primary purpose
will be:
a) To provide hospitality, assistance to new
resident settlers and members
alike.
b) To develop,
promote, and provide Filipino cultural programs.
c) To promote
social interactions among its members and other
Filipino-American organizations.
d) To have a civic
organization that is non-profit, non-political and
non-religious.
